What a Year!

2010 is probably the most blessed year I've ever had so far. In fact if I am to count my blessings for this year, I wouldn't know how to start. Probably because I'm most behaved this year, haha!

The little prince almost doubled his weight a month after his birth. He's been developing his senses quite fast and I always get surprised whenever I notice how much he's been growing. I always kiss him for I might be surprised one day that he'll be embarrassed by his mom's hugs and kisses.

I am excited about this new project band that Prince came up with. The two of us never played in one band. Like an unspoken agreement. However this time, I am really looking forward to it because he'll do the vocals and I'll get to play the bass guitar again. Let's see if the tightened partnership will do good when we're bandmates, hehe.

The year is about to end in less than 24 hours and it's good to know that a better year is about to come. Stay safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! :)

SYNAPSE, Lip Service

Finally, Lip Service's debut album was launched last night in B-Side @ The Collective. Performances from Lip Service joined by Pedicab, Turbo Goth, Taken by Cars, DJ Ornusa Cadness and DJ Mia Ayesa rocked the house. The album which contains 9 tracks and is packed in a non-conventional way is definitely worth your Php200!
This is just a start for I'm sure we all can expect more of the Lip Service music soon. Congratulations Lip Service!

They Definitely Rocked the Riles!

Rock Ed Philippines just held the annual event they called Rock the Riles. Huge number of musicians played in different MRT stations yesterday and two of Prince's bands were invited to be at the Buendia Station. The Naked Lights and Lip Service definitely rocked the riles along with the other bands who just went out and played for this year's cause: Human Rights.

Christmas Came Early!

Who would've thought that my Christmas wishlist would be completed on the first day of December? Guess I've been a really good girl this year, hehe :)

Thank you so much to my Prince who played the role of Santa very well! ;)

God's Best Surprise!

How do you think God plans His 'next move' for you?

Few months ago, it was announced that Harry Potter 7's first part of the movie will be showing on November 18, 2010. I was really excited to see the first half of the last HP movie and I looked forward to this date eversince.

It was also announced that Gin Blossoms will be having a concert at the Araneta Coliseum on the same date. Prince and I were both excited and planned to buy Upper Box A for reserved seating tickets at the venue on the day of the concert.

November 18, 2010 is a Thursday so I requested for a VL (vacation leave, hehe) months ago to make sure that these things that I'm looking forward to will not be missed. Little did I know that God has bigger plans for me that day...

According to my first ultrasound, my expected due date is December 9, 2010. Since it's my first baby, it could be expected two weeks before or after the due date.

Last Tuesday evening, November 16, I was out from work at 10pm, took a shower and took a nap. As usual, I waited for Prince to arrive from work so we can finish watching The Pianist. I felt a dysmenorrhea-like pain but it consistently wears out and goes back every 15 minutes. I had no idea that it's already the so-called 'contraction'. I've been reading articles about labor and childbirth but I wasn't able to imagine how it was described. I tried to ignore the pain until we're done with the movie and tried to go back to sleep. I've been waking up feeling the contractions getting stronger and by 10:30am, Wednesday, I decided to go and see my OB-Gyne instead of going to work. I immediately informed my boss that I can't go to work and asked to  have it filed as sick leave. We arrived at the hospital around 12:30pm. My doctor's staff lead me to the delivery room right away and they told me I was already 1cm dilated. The resident doctor asked if I could still go back home or be admitted while waiting to reach 10cm. I didn't want to stay longer in the delivery room because it's filled with about  6 other pregnant women waiting to give birth so all I could hear are moans due to severe pain. I told the doctor I'd go home and she advised me to go back immediately if the contractions becomes more frequent, if I have blood or water discharge. Prince went to work and I went back home.

The entire Wednesday afternoon, I've been trying to rest but the pain keeps going back every 15minutes. Before midnight, the pain goes back every 10minutes. Prince is off from work at 2am of Thursday and he asked me if I would want him to buy anything, I told him to just hurry back home as I might not be able to take the pain any longer. He's home at around 3am and convinced me to go back to the hospital. The same resident doctor told me that I'm already 3cm dilated and asked if I can still walk around the hospital as walking really helps to make the early stage of labor faster, otherwise she's going to have the dextrose thing (I don't know what to call it, it's my first time and it looked painful) placed in my right hand. I told her I'll try to walk around. She advised me to rest until 6am, have breakfast and return at 8am or when it's painful enough that I couldn't walk. Prince and I had light breakfast at a Jollibee stall next to the hospital but I wasn't able to finish my sandwich. We went back to the delivery room at 7am, the dextrose thing was placed on me and my water broke at around 9:30am. I totally blacked out about 5minutes before 11am after a couple of 'push'. The next thing I knew, I saw this yellow band on my wrist with my name, age and OB-Gyne's name on it. I was then transferred to a semi-private room where I saw the two bags that I packed few months ago - one for all my stuff, one for baby's. The nurse told me that baby's in the nursery, getting screened and will be sent to our room in 6-8 hours. Prince and I patiently wait but they were only able to bring him before lunch time of the following day. He's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.I would say that the entire childbirth is a team effort of me and my baby as designed by God. I've done my part, baby stayed healthy and God made his miracle happen - everything happened according to His plans and I'm happy that it did in spite of me having a totally different plan on that day. I will never doubt His ways.

God's Perfect Time

I first heard about the words "God's perfect time" about ten years ago when I became a Christian. I allowed myself to trust that everything's happening according to God's plan. There may be times when I feel down but there's no way I should question His will. I tracked the things that I remember when God's timing is just perfect and I came up with:

May 2005 - I turned 19 two weeks ago and moved out of my parents' house. Lived with my friend and her mom while job-hunting.
May 12, 2005 - First day, first job. Started looking for an apartment, close to school or to my office.
May 20, 2005 - Moved to my first apartment near my office in Eastwood City.
May 30, 2005 - First payday. Last day of enrollment for my senior year in college.
June 2005 - Classes starts at 7:30am and ends at 1:30pm or 3pm on some days. I still have time to sleep before my work starts at 8:30pm and end at 5:30am, just enough travel time to go to my first class the following day. Study lessons during office breaks.
July 2005 - Moved to an all-female boarding house close to the university campus. I realized it's more convenient to be closer to school than to my office.
October 2005 - SEMBREAK. I went back to my parents' house but continue to be a self-supporting student. I met Prince and we started hanging out more often. Enrolled for the last semester.
March 2006 - End of school year. End of college.
April 2006 - Turning 20. Finish all requirements for graduation.
May 5, 2006 - Took a leave from work for college graduation. Prince gave me flowers and I introduced him to the family.
July 2006 - I went to work for a different company.
March 2007 - I went to work for another company closer to my parents' house. I need to save, my brother's going to college soon.
March 2008 - I realized that I need to look for a job that pays 3 times of what I earn, youngest sister is going to college as well. They didn't get any scholarship.
April 2008 - One week off to Boracay while being interviewed by a Singaporean employer over the phone.
May 2008 - Back from vacation. I got the job and need to prepare to leave within a month.
June 2008 - Embracing changes. Started working in Singapore.
April 2009 - One week vacation to the Philippines. Three days spent in Manila, four days vacation to Bohol.
May 2009 - I am looking for a reason to stay in Singapore.
August 2009 - Finally got no reason to stay. Booked a flight back to Manila.
September 2009 - Job hunt.
September 7, 2009 - Back to work. In Manila. For good.
April 2010 - The good news just a month after getting regularized, the day after my 24th birthday. Prince and I found out that I'm almost 2 months pregnant.
November 2010 - Expecting baby to come out next month. God's best Christmas gift! :)

Sometimes, I don't like how things happen but I remain confident and positive that it will all be fine - and it always does.

Komikon 2010

Prince and I went to the Komikon 2010 (Comic Convention) at the Starmall Trade Hall after their band practice last Saturday. The venue was packed with comic-loving kids and kids at heart. It's sad that we're not able to arrive earlier for their special guests Jess and Manix Abrera's talk. There's been a shortage of cabs when you need one and the traffic is horrible as usual.

It's our first time to attend such event although I've been a Kikomachine Komix fan for a couple of years now. I was able to have the first four Kikomachine Komix signed about two years ago at the Visprint's book signing in Cubao X. I didn't expect that the line for Manix Abrera's book signing would be five times (or more) longer this time.

The event is only from 10am to 7pm so when it's already past 7pm and there's still a couple of people in line for Manix Abrera's autograph, some of the organizers told us that we'll have to proceed outside the venue. Manix, however never stopped signing, hehe.

After about three hours of waiting, it's finally my turn. Yay!

I had my Kikomachine Komix Blg. 5 and 6 signed. 'Til next time! :D

The Barbie Almalbis Experience + Banapple

Prince went half-day yesterday as The Naked Lights played at Route196 in Katipunan Avenue. He picked me up from work at 10pm, had a really quick dinner while in the cab and we arrived at the venue after 15minutes. The good thing about Route196 is that ambiance which reminds me of Saguijo. The audience can have enough intimacy with whoever is playing. Best thing about it - being next to Banapple! haha ;)

We left Prince's gear at the venue and went to Banapple to have dessert. Their cakes are about Php80-Php100 per slice so it's really reasonable. I had a slice of blueberry cheesecake and Prince had coffee toffee. If you're feeling full, my suggestion would be sharing a slice because it may look like a small serving until you realize how generous it was. I'm sure we'll be coming back to try out more of their food soon.

We went back to the venue and found increase in the number of audience. It was understandable because Barbie is about to play. Although I've been listening to her since late 90's, I first saw her live during her 10th year in the business launching her DVD concert at the Eastwood City when Prince and I had dinner to celebrate our 2nd anniversary.

Barbie Almalbis-Honasan is one of the musicians who gained my respect in my early years of exploring Pinoy music - she was able to balance the ability to express herself in her music and be in the mainstream scene at the same time. The ability to make your private life interesting but far away from the public while being a celebrity is not something most people can do. It was a really good set especially when Roger Alcantara did bass and they played Money for Food (one of my favorites in Music Under the Buffet Table album). Her guitar playing improved a lot, her voice is as sweet as always and I'll be looking forward to the release of a new album. :)

The Naked Lights played after Barbie and I knew each of them feels the pressure but they did manage to give us a fairly good set as well. I will always be a fan! ;)

Fuji Finepix Z33 - One of My Simple Needs

I know I've been wishing for the Samsung WP10 since the Samsung L73 gave up on me but I think what I received is better - got the Fuji Finepix Z33 earlier today and I can't wait to take snapshots again!

When I bought the Samsung L73 more than two years ago, I relied much on the online reviews and ratings about it. I got it from ebay as this particular model wasn't released here (not sure if it's available in any country in Asia) and a student from the US is selling it brand new for only Php7,500 which I found a lot cheaper than Canon and Sony digicams (more than Php15K at that time). Darlyn and I needed a handy digicam for our week-long Boracay trip and I need to buy myself a birthday gift so it was really a perfect timing. I never had any regret in buying the Samsung L73, it's really very useful for the past two years so when the time came that it needed to retire, I've been having a hard time finding a replacement.

This search's top priority: waterproof digital camera for beach trips. I am not into bulky DSLR's that's really in right now so I focused the search on these things I needed to consider:
1. AFFORDABLE - limited budget as we need to prepare for the baby
2. COMPACT - it should fit my pocket or a small handbag
3. USER-FRIENDLY - I'm not familiar with the photographer's jargon :p
4. SLEEK AND available in PINK and/or BLACK

At some point, I had second thoughts about the Samsung WP10 because I wanted to try a different brand. I was traumatized by the 'lines' that started appearing before the Samsung L73 completely broke down. Canon D10 came to my mind but I find all the Powershot models just too bulky for me plus this model doesn't have any other color.I also considered the Olympus Stylus 850 even if the one being sold is second-hand but for some reason, I didn't get any response from the ebay seller. :(Finally, the Fuji Finepix Z33 won. Everything in my checklist was met and the seller's really prompt to reply so I didn't have any trouble dealing with her.I found the interface a little old-school but it didn't matter. Can't wait to go out of town! hehe ;)

Happy Anniversary!

Dear Prince,

It's been five years, can you believe it?! All the memories can only make me smile and now that we're expecting Vince soon, life just gets more exciting and full of challenge. I'm loving you more everyday.

You might not have the luxury to give me the most expensive things in life, I may not always be able to maintain a perfect figure (haha!) and we may not be able to get married but everything that matters to me is that we'll always love each other no matter what.

Thank you for always being there. Happy 5th Anniversary!

I will never get tired of saying these words as long as I live - I love you every minute, Prince! :)

Love,
Princess

Trick or Treat!!!

Our company conducted the annual Trick or Treat for kids 3-10 years old yesterday. I registered my nieces Bianca and Pam to join while Meg brought her daughter Bianca (another Bianca, hehe). They came in their chic costumes! :)

[caption id="attachment_641" align="aligncenter" width="225" caption="Irish Bianca as a Witch, Bianca Aminah as Ms. Korea and Juliana Reign as Little Devil with Shrek and Princess Fiona"][/caption]

Our department's events committee also found time to decorate our workstations with lots of spiderwebs, tombs, scary-looking church and hospital with fake corpse. I was really excited to give out lootbags full of sweets.

'Til next haloween! ;-)

Forever21 Sale: THE REPEAT

Before ending the month, Forever21 will be having another sale at the SM Megamall for SM Advantage, SM Prestige and BDO Rewards cardholders. They did this during the SM Megamall 3-day sale few weeks ago and again, 10% of all items from October 29 to November 1 so I guess it's gonna be another jam-packed weekend! ;)

Responsible Urban Planning

I am on my way home last night when I noticed that the entire portion of Nueva Vizcaya Street where SMDC's Grass Residences construction is ongoing is closed. My apartment is across the entrance of the said property and I pass through the construction site everyday and every night. I am neither an architect nor an engineer but I learned that developing such property should require serious consideration of how it could affect everything and everyone not only when the project is done but also while the construction is ongoing.

A roaming barangay mobile consistently warns the neighborhood especially those who lives along Nueva Vizcaya street that there's an ongoing trouble with a crane that can just collapse anytime, strangle the aerial cables and/or smash some of the houses around it. The officials are telling people to be extra careful. Residents of the area were asked to take a different route to get home however, I passed through the construction site (unavoidable, I need to really pass through it to reach my apartment) and I didn't see anything done to prevent the crane from possibly falling. I hate that I wasn't able to take a picture of it as my phone's camera isn't taking good night shots and my digicam is busted. Prince goes home a little later than I do and he managed to speak with some of the construction workers standing by and they said that they already seek help from DSWD and maybe some people in the media will also be there.

I expected that this would at least be in the news to warn people who's used to passing through this way so I searched google for the latest news right away - zero result. The only thing I found related to it is this article by Mr. Ducky Paredes that discussed about how the development of another SMDC property made the neighborhood badly affected by the typhoon 'Ondoy' last year.

I have nothing against construction of high-rise condominiums in the metro which is becoming rampant these days. In fact, I would like to buy a unit for myself as it's very practical for a starting family in my opinion. Responsible urban planning can be very beneficial to everyone. It just requires commitment, consideration for the majority's interest and conscience.

The street is still closed today. I am hoping that nobody gets hurt and that they can figure out how to assure safety in the neighborhood can be maintained before, during and after the construction.

The Last Trimester

It's the last week of October and I can feel the holiday spirit as EDSA's traffic situation is becoming worse everyday.

Last Thursday was an after-office evening well spent at the B-Side. Since the pregnancy is reaching it's peak now, I guess I won't be a regular attendee of Prince's gigs anymore but I definitely won't miss the Gin Blossoms concert on November 18 as well as the Lip Service's album launch.

At this time, baby's in his 33rd week and 4th day. Turning sides when I'm in bed has been very painful and it could last up to 5 minutes per turn. Walking for more than 20 minutes feels like running for an hour (or more as I am catching my breath faster). Putting moisturizing lotion in my legs and feet would require a certain technique so I can reach without feeling any pain or hear a cracking sound in my backbone. I didn't know that pregnancy would be this hard - how much harder motherhood could be?

I'm not complaining though. As I look at my baby bump being deformed from time to time as baby moves, I find myself smiling and get more excited to see our little prince. :)

Get Twisted.. Again!

I thought it's just rumors when I first heard that McDonald's Twister Fries is back until I received an email from McDonald's Philippines confirming this. I think the last Twister Fries I had was about 4-5 years ago when I didn't have to think about my diet and I would always have it with a rootbeer or coke float. I think I might try it again this weekend though. ;)

The SALE Season!

October is probably the month where Manila's version of GSS [Great Singapore Sale] happens. The annual sale during this month is often causing traffic and panic buying for everyone in the Metro. As Christmas draws closer, it's a perfect time to stack up on presents, too! ;)

3-day sale is always a hit for major malls so this weekend, bargain hunters will surely want to stay within the Ortigas Center because of these:Happy shopping! :)

Badburn's New Album - Crack the Weakened Surface

It's another week after a very busy weekend. Badburn just launched their new album Crack the Weakened Surface last Saturday at Ten02, Timog Avenue. I must say that I am not really into listening to metal/hardcore but I enjoyed watching gigs from time to time. Other bands who played that night includes Hampaslupa, The Crimson Cartel, Intolerant and Sin.

I respect and admire these musicians' talent in making a different, eccentric type of sound. In my perspective, music, as an art of expressing one's self, will always show individuality.

Badburn will be having a tour after this successful launch. Their gig schedule is stated in the event poster.Congratulations to Badburn! :)

No-Oil-Burst Crispy Deep Fried Chicken

Ingredients:

4 pcs. quarter-cut chicken
500 mL cooking oil
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
2 tbsp. ground dried basil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper

Procedure:
1. Wash chicken cuts and season with salt and pepper.
2. Combine breadcrumbs and basil, set aside in a plate for breading.
3. Dip each cut into beaten egg and roll over the plate of breadcrumbs and basil mix. Make sure the chicken is fully breaded.
4. Heat cooking oil in a deep pan and set the fire on low heat before putting the breaded chicken. TIP: Instead of covering the pan with a usual enclosed cover, use a strainer instead so it won't build up any steam that can produce water and cause the oil to burst.
5. Deep frying chicken can take about 20minutes. Place it in the strainer to drain excess oil.

Mad Day.

I was 20 minutes late for work today even though I left the house almost 1 hour before my shift and the train usually just takes 15 minutes. Today, however, the train decided to malfunction and took almost an hour to travel from North Avenue Station to Araneta Center Cubao Station which is only 4 stations away.If I'm still in Singapore, an hour train ride can take me from east coast all the way to the west. (See green line) I wanted to get out of the train station and get a cab but I was trapped inside the train with other senior citizen passengers and the train was stucked for more than 30 minutes in North Avenue Station and another 20 minutes or so in GMA-Kamuning Station.

When I arrived in the office, almost everyone is aware of the train trouble and another trouble just beside the North Avenue Station that involves demolition of the slums in the area that started at around 9am today.

News online says various things about what happened and the details uncluding the number of the population living in that location. I pass through this area everyday and I am always amazed on how huge they became. Even the police will be afraid to enter the vicinity. I just wonder how the illegal settlers reached thousands in number without being asked to move out when they're still manageable. Where are they from and who told them that they can build their houses in this government-owned land in the first place?

The Original Manila Scramble

Today was another busy Sunday for us. Prince and I went back to Photo Concept Digital at Hidalgo in Quiapo to pick up the Samsung L73 because the owner told us yesterday that it's already fixed but to our disappointment, after leaving the digicam in there for more than two weeks, it's still not fixed. It even got worse than before because initially, the only issue is that it's showing lines when you take a picture but now, it totally won't turn on! I was furious and they asked if we can return some other day and leave it there again as they might need to change some other parts, I was doubtful and don't want to leave it there again for a long time so I agreed for them to just give us a refund and we'll just return in there if we have time to get it fixed that we can get it on the same day.

We tried our luck to get the digicam checked by Samsung Service Center in Robinson's Galeria but we found out that the service center in there only deals with mobile phone issues. The staff said that the service center for digicams is located across Virra Mall and it closes at 5pm during weekends. It would've been a really bad day but it was saved when we tried out The Original Manila Scramble.

Scrambles are pink iced sweets topped with powdered milk and choco syrup usually found outside the school gates along with other street food that's very much patronized by the students more than the food in the school canteen. I don't remember how much it was sold during my grade school days but here's the mall food cart's price list:I had a medium with extra milk and it made me feel like a kid again - away from the bad things that I had to go through with the digicam repair.Sometimes, small things can just make a difference. Now, however, I just know I need a new digicam and I can't get over it unless I can have a medium sized scramble with extra milk everyday, hehe. ;)

Random.

There are a lot of things I need to be thankful for as the week is about to end (again). Pardon me for I will be using random pictures from the net for this blog entry. I don't have any digicam to use at the moment and I've been eyeing on getting another Samsung (I already gave up on the L73 and had it swapped for the Squier P-Bass). This time, I'm thinking of getting the WP10 model, either black or blue.Aside from getting comfortable in using this brand, I must say that the deciding factor is that the Samsung WP10 managed to be a waterproof camera and look sleek at the same time. Gorgeous. :)

I finally decided to sign up for Twitter. It's good to use if you want to keep posted about the latest happening so I decided to follow GMANews. Sometimes, I still get scared to read the news as majority of them are not good news. :(

ANTM Cycle 15 is SUPERNOTHERLEVEL! This cycle, my favorite is Kayla and I really hope my bet wins this time!

And I finally got to eat Ginataang Halo-halo today! Yey!I can't remember the last time I ate ginataang halo-halo (it's been a couple of years) and I've been craving for months. I texted Prince to buy and bring to my office before he go to the studio for recording today in case neighbors happen to cook some for merienda but I was so surprised to find that they decided to sell it in the office pantry today! I didn't wait for Prince's reply and grabbed myself a serving during my first break. Prince texted an hour later to say that he already bought one for me. I'm just so eager to have more so I asked him to still bring it to my office and I ate it during lunch break. Talk about a "Ginataang Halo-Halo Galore Day"! hahaha ;)

Rants (Part 2)

I was on VL (vacation leave) last Friday and yesterday so no work for me for the past four days. I've been having colds since Friday though so it's really annoying that I wasn't able to maximize the VL's as I needed to rest most of the time. We were able to have the baby shower last Saturday, it was really nice to bond with friends and I'd like to thank everyone who managed to squeeze it into their schedule.

Yesterday, I went to see my new OB and it's beyond disappointing. I arrived at the hospital around 9:30am and the doctor's secretary said I should come back at around 3pm as the doctor is in the OR. I told her I wasn't feeling well (I have terrible headache due to colds) so I'm just going to rest in the waiting area instead as it would take about 2hours to travel back and forth . Little did I know, I waited for more than 7 hours! The doctor arrived in her office at past 4pm and entertained more than 5 med reps before starting to take in patients at almost 5pm while her clinic hours are 9am-6pm Mon-Sat and 9am-11am Sun. I finally got checked to make sure that there's no complications in my lungs, that my baby's heartbeat rate is normal, weighted and BP were also checked, then she prescribed paracetamol (for headaches), Vitamin C (for colds, I guess) and for me to continue taking in Hemarate - and it all took less than 15minutes! :x

I was really in a bad mood as my whole day was spent waiting and I'm feeling worse than ever. I feel guilty that my health is not at it's best for the past weeks and I fear that baby might get affected by all these. Like I can't do anything no matter how hard I try to stay healthy. Good thing Prince stayed beside me the entire night and his experiment on mixing calamansi and sweet tea is really good, enough to make me feel better.

Happy Birthday Prince!

Dear Prince,

Remember when we used to look like hippies?Until we decided to look like kids and both our hair was cut short..So you see, it's not really obvious how old we are. You look gorgeous to me no matter what. ;)You make me proud all the time. You make me feel safe, happy and satisfied. I thank God for He gave me the person whom I can trust everything with. I'm grateful that this partnership is taking our individuality into the next level.

To the most special man in my life.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Love,
Princess

I thank God EVERYDAY.

I thank God EVERYDAY.

I thank God for Mondays as it reminds me that I'm blessed to have a job that I enjoy and that I'm with the great people I work with in most days of the week.

I thank God for Tuesdays because it is another day for me to have an opportunity to take chances.

I thank God for Wednesdays for I survived halfway through the weekdays because of His amazing grace!

I thank God for Thursdays because I know that great challenges are being given to those who were trusted to do His will.

I thank God for Fridays as it ends my week of work and starts another blessed weekend.

I thank God for Saturdays that I can do the house chores and enjoy the peace inside our home at the same time.

I thank God for Sundays as it is another day to give glory and praise to Him who make everyday possible.

Prince's G.A.S.

Once upon a time, we wanted to learn how to play a certain musical instrument. We used to borrow gear from people until such time that we acquire our own. Then there's this certain urge to buy another one, and another one, and another one.. and so on..

G.A.S. or Gear Acquisition Syndrome is contagious and this year, Prince was badly infected. He's been using an ibby for the longest time and it's been good enough for the past years.Until he told me he needed a short scale and bought the Badtz-Maru.Then he thought a p-bass would sound nice and found a nice deal for a Japan copy of p-bass. Mang Max did a hell of a job in it's pick guard, truss rod, fretboard, body paint and pickups! We just got it back last Saturday, good as new.

Lastly [and STRICTLY, this will be the last], Prince scored this deal for a really nice Squier P-bass Special. The black and chrome looks really good. I know I'll be able to use all of these as well but I begged Prince to stop GAS-ing for now as we need to save up for baby. I promised we'll get a Jazz bass and a custom Tele bass next year though. ;)
